MARCH FOR OUR LIVES
March 24, 2018
Being from Virginia, Washington D.C. has always been a familiar place, and as most would agree, the flowering trees are its soft watermark on the world. On this day, it was nice to see both the protest’s young audience and the city’s magnolia trees playing together in a harmonious way, like the city welcoming its new visitors with open arms.
Normally with larger protests, people clash with the city that tries to contain them — this time was different. March For Our Lives was a student-led demonstration in support of stricter gun control across the U.S.
